Greenbelt Program's Urban Review Committee Holds Initial Meeting Nov.
28, 3 p.m.
The
Greenbelt Urban Review Committee, a committee appointed to review the
funding applications for the Urban Grants Program of the Charleston
County Greenbelt Project, will hold its initial meeting at 3 p.m. on
Tuesday, Nov. 28. The Urban Review Committee meeting is open to the
public and will be held at the Charleston County Park and Recreation
Commission building on James Island (821 Riverland Drive, Charleston).
The
initial task of the Urban Review Committee is to develop an application
procedure and methodology for the Urban Grants Program.
Charleston County's Comprehensive Greenbelt Plan assigns the Charleston
County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) with the responsibility of
administering the Greenbelt Project's Urban Grants Program. To assist
the CCPRC with this responsibility, the Comprehensive Greenbelt Plan
states that the CCPRC will appoint members to an Urban Review Committee.
Members
of the Urban Review Committee will include two Greenbelt Advisory Board
members, two CCPRC staff members, and two Charleston County staff
members.
