Notice of
Lane Closures on Bees Ferry Road on Jan. 6 and 7
Charleston County RoadWise
advises the public of lane closures in West Ashley that will occur on Tuesday,
Jan. 6, and Wednesday, Jan. 7, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. at the following
intersections:
-
Bees Ferry Road (S-10-57)
and Savannah Highway (US-17)
-
Bees Ferry Road and Glenn
McConnell Parkway (SC-61 Expressway)
-
Bees Ferry Road and Ashley
River Road (SC-61)
-
West Ashley Traffic Circle
(near Wal-Mart)
All roads at these
intersections will be affected for approximately 500 feet in each direction.
Only one lane will be closed
on each road, and at no point will the entire roadway be blocked to traffic.
The road work will consist of
testing that is needed before project designs can be made for
Bees Ferry Road widening and intersection improvements, which are funded by
the Transportation Half-Cent Sales Tax.
During the testing, trucks
with lighted flashing arrow signs will be on site to warn drivers of the
approaching lane closures.
Charleston County RoadWise is
the name of Charleston County Government’s management program for the
construction of roads, highways, resurfacing, paving and drainage projects that
are funded by the Transportation Sales Tax.
