Closures on N. Spartan Road Rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27
Lane closure originally scheduled for today, Monday, Jan. 26, is
being rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27 7
Charleston County RoadWise advises the public of a lane closure in North
Charleston that will occur on Tuesday, Jan. 27, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on
North Spartan Road at the following intersection:
The left
turning lane on North Spartan Road will be closed, and at no point will the
entire roadway be blocked to traffic. Traffic traveling in each direction on
North Spartan Road will be affected for approximately 500 feet. All lanes on
Ashley Phosphate Road will remain open.
The road
work will consist of removing the median on North Spartan Road, which is needed
for the
Palmetto Commerce Parkway, Phase II project. The project is funded by the
Transportation Half-Cent Sales Tax.
During the
median removal, trucks with lighted flashing arrow signs will be on site to warn
drivers of the approaching lane closure. Be aware of heavy construction
equipment entering and exiting the project site at the existing Palmetto
Commerce Parkway and at North Spartan Road off of Ashley Phosphate Road.
