Lane
Closures on N. Spartan Boulevard Rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29 - Tuesday,
Feb. 3

closure originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27, rescheduled for Thursday,
Jan. 29 – Tuesday, Feb. 3
Charleston County RoadWise advises the public of a lane closure in North
Charleston that will occur between Thursday, Jan. 29, and Tuesday, Feb. 3. The
lane closure will occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on North Spartan Boulevard at
the following intersection:
The road
work has been rescheduled twice due to the weather.
The
southbound left turning lane on North Spartan Boulevard will be closed, and at
no point will the entire roadway be blocked to traffic. Traffic traveling in
each direction on North Spartan Boulevard will be affected for approximately 500
feet. All lanes on Ashley Phosphate Road will remain open.
The road
work will consist of removing the median on North Spartan Boulevard, which is
needed for the
Palmetto Commerce Parkway, Phase II project. The project is funded by the
Transportation Half-Cent Sales Tax.
Be aware
of heavy construction equipment entering and exiting the project site at North
Spartan Boulevard off of Ashley Phosphate Road.

County RoadWise is the name of
Charleston County Government’s management program for the construction of
roads, highways, resurfacing, paving and drainage projects that are funded by
the Transportation Sales Tax.
