Proposed Comprehensive Transportation Plan

The
Transportation Advisory Board was appointed by
Charleston County Council to review recommendations on
sales tax expenditures for transportation projects, and
to receive public input. This Board will comment on
spending over $1 billion, over 25 years, for highways,
bridges, roads and related drainage projects, and for
mass transit systems.
The Transportation Advisory Board consists of 14
members
selected by Charleston County Council and the elected
Councils of each of the three major municipalities in
Charleston County (Charleston, Mount Pleasant and North
Charleston). The Board will prepare, and deliver to
County Council, findings, recommendations and comments
on the Comprehensive Transportation Plan developed by a
private consultant.
